*Mum’s Eulogy and Biography*
- Our mum, Rose Toneh Bekebang, was a kind, selfless, hardworking, and God-fearing person who dedicated her life to serving humanity.
- She upheld and instilled good values in all her children, grandchildren and those she had the opportunity to impact.
- She was a peacemaker and had a great sense of humour which endeared her to everyone she came in contact with.
- She preached hardwork, honesty, love, forgiveness, and peace up to her last days.
- It is a great testament to her nature that she formed so many long lasting friendships over the years.
- Born in 1952 to Beyeng Suffer and Mbefeh Helena.
- After primary education, she got married in 1968 to Pa Bekebang Chrysanthus Ndifor who was a Police Constable at the time.
- Started up and operated several micro businesses including the production and supply of food and fashion products.
- Retired from business in 1990 and moved to the village where she worked as a farmer until 2018 when she flee the crisis to Yaoundé.
- Whilst in the village, she was an active member of the Catholic Women’s Association (CWA) and served as CWA President at St Theresa Parish Bamessing.
- Stayed in Yaoundé with her daughter and son in-law until she felt sick and eventually passed away on 6 April 2021.
- She leaves behind her mum, seven children, 13 grandchildren, and many sisters and brothers.
- It saddens us that after toiling through life to make us who we are today, she passed away without us adequately rewarding her.
- As compassionate as she was, she cautioned us not to cry when she finally passes, saying we’ve all worked hard for her. Thank you mum.
