Penny joined The City Law School in September 2019. She brought a wealth of experience from her practice at the Bar to the BPTC and then the BVS programme. Penny had studied at Northumbria University and was admitted to the Bar in 2006, practising on the North Eastern Circuit. She was regularly instructed in cases with vulnerable witnesses and defendants, in particular cases involving sexual offences and domestic violence. She prosecuted and defended in cases involving violent offences, fraud, drug related offences, offences under the Modern Slavery Act and under the Firearms Act.
