Like many others, I had the privilege of meeting Mikey Jr. through his father. We went on a hike in the Kananaskis (Moose Mtn) and the snow prevented us from summiting but did not prevent us from having so much fun that day. I had introduced Mikey Jr. to my nieces who recently moved to Calgary from the Middle East. My niece Natalia was off to attend UBC in Vancouver and Mikey was so attentive and caring, he offered to take her on some hikes in the Vancouver area. From the Memories, you can read the impact Mickey had on my niece, Natalia Wazny. He was a pure natural outdoorsman and I was looking forward to joining him and his Dad on a half marathon run in Banff next year. Mike Sr. (Johnny), you and his mother raised such an amazing human being. A shining light who touched so many people. A beautiful soul taken away too soon. My deepest condolences go out to you Mike Sr. and Mikey's family.
