It is with sadness that the children of Linda (Klinger) Wing announce the passing of their mother. Linda peacefully went to be with the Lord on February 6, 2021 at the age of 70. Linda grew up in Nassau, NY and moved to Canandaigua, NY in 1985. She dedicated her life to helping others through her careers as a nurse and home health aid, and classroom para professional. She was passionate about the school district and served as the PTO president and advocator for teachers and students. She volunteered at the crisis pregnancy center, churches she attended, community theaters and was always able to convince her friends to join her in these endeavors. Throughout her life, Linda taught her family and friends that love runs very deep even through difficult times. She had the ability to magnify and (entertainingly) drag out any story. She was an unapologetically dynamic woman with an unmatched talent in the kitchen. Linda had a heart to care for others, even when she had nothing to give. She was a ‘find a way, make a way, squeeze the best out of it’ type of person for most of her life. Her laugh was infectious and her sense of humor truly wicked.
Linda will be lovingly remembered by her family: son Matthew Wing (partner Patty Utz) and children Mason and Miles Utz in OR, daughter Sarah Taylor (husband Zachery) and children Isaac, Brooklyn and Alexandrea in KS, daughter Rebecca Carson (husband Jonathan) and their son Desmond in MA, her youngest daughter Esther Wing in NY, her brother Paul Klinger in NV, brother and sister-in-law Keith (Cathy) Wing their daughter Cannon and son Ky Wing in NY.
Linda was predeceased by her high school sweetheart/husband Kenneth Wing, Mother Martha Klinger, Father Daniel (Dianne) Klinger, Grandmother Margaret Klinger as well as all the horses and dogs she loved during her life.
It’s hard to picture Linda not resting peacefully because that was not her way with so many to cook for and entertain. We hope she is cooking for Jesus, her beloved parents & grandparents, and of course, her Kenny in the most amazing kitchen after reuniting with all the horses and dogs she loved during her life. Whoop it up mom!
