Judy was born on April 12, 1937, in New York, NY. She grew up in Manhattan and the surrounding boroughs and was known for her outgoing personality and love of dance. However, Judy would say that her life didn’t really begin until she found Jehovah in 1974. She began studying the Bible with two dear sisters, Pat Cheshire and Mary Ciaravino. On January 5, 1975, Judy dedicated her life to Jehovah by baptism.
A few years after her baptism, Judy and her two children moved to Florida and in 1983 they were assigned to the North Casselberry congregation where she stayed for the remainder of her life. Judy was extraordinarily hospitable and kind to others. In the workplace and congregation, she was known for her diligent work ethic, strong conviction, and first and foremost, her faith.
One of the highlights in Judy’s life came much later, when she decided to join the regular pioneer ranks on September 1, 2017. She spoke frequently about how pioneering changed her life and deepened her relationship with Jehovah in a way she never thought possible. Any who worked in service with her could attest to her new joy and her constant encouragement to sharpen your skills and continue to make advancements no matter your age or circumstances. – 1Tim 4:15
Judy is survived by many friends and family who will cherish the times they spent with her. Whether it be on a cruise ship, over a home cooked meal and glass of wine, or informally witnessing at her favorite coffee shop, Judy touched the lives of many around her. We eagerly await the time when, through the promised resurrection, all our loved ones will awaken from death to a paradise Earth. – Acts 24:15
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
Our family would like to take this moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love & support we received during Judy’s illness and especially during the last few weeks. We received hundreds of text messages, cards, flowers, meals, transportation to-and-from doctor’s appointments, late night visits, overnight stays, phone calls, the list goes on and on. We could not have gotten through this without you. Thank you also for the many prayers in our behalf. Thank you for showing us the kind of brotherly love only found within Jehovah’s organization. And thank you for being a constant reminder of how much Jehovah loves and cares for His people.
