Firstly, my deepest heartfelt condolences go out to Jen, Malaki, their broader families and the Integrative Physiotherapy family. I cannot imagine the grief you are all experiencing at the moment. I hope you can all eventually find peace and continue to connect with John and your memories of him. I started going to John for physical therapy for minor issues five or so years ago. From that first session, I was blown away by not only his physical therapy wizardry and exercise prescription, but his genuine warmth, humility and care. He was a man I felt instantly connected to. He knew that I was new to Fort Collins and set about trying to connect me with others and help me establish myself in this new town. For that alone, I am very grateful. John continued to connect with my family and I through various means such as play dates and giving us the organs from his kills. Such was his generosity and zest for life. I loved hearing about his travel adventures and hunting stories during our physical therapy sessions and I always walked away from our sessions with more knowledge than I originally thought I would obtain! He really was a fascinating person. When I think of John, I think of his ability to meaningfully connect. To connect on a professional level and instantly put clients at ease, never boasting about his depth of knowledge. To connect on a personal level and build friendships through a beautiful genuineness and generosity. And to connect on a spiritual level where he truly did challenge us to better ourselves and reach our potentials. John, you have left an unfillable hole in the Fort Collins and Windsor communities. But I will honor your memory by challenging myself to build deeper and more meaningful connections. Our family misses you greatly.
