Nabokov described human life as "a brief crack of light between two eternities of darkness". Haresh now returns to the slumber from whence he first arose, but his life was indeed "a light". His radiance was defined by his warmth, sincerity, strength, honesty and his ability to inspire those around him. His presence rippled, and his mind and spirit energized those around him. He always expected better of others, because he saw potential in everyone, and he always expected better from himself because that's who he was. Although his body no longer remains with us, his presence still lingers, and his flame is carried by his family....his wife Flora, and his children, Raj, Ria and Rup... as well as the hundreds, maybe even thousands of people who have either worked with him, or have been directly impacted by his work. He will be remembered for his strength of character, how he stood and faced the struggles and absurdities of life steadfast, with courage, resilience and a fortitude not often seen in this world. And now, he rests gently as his legacy, memory and presence is carried by those who knew and loved him.
