6/28 National Paul Bunyan Day The character Paul Bunyan was brought to life by the stories lumberjacks from the Northeastern United States and Eastern Canada told, way back in the 18th century. Logging bunkhouses continued with the tradition of telling Paul Bunyan stories for decades after that, embellishing it with more and more details to make this lumberjack larger than life. Along the way, he also gained a companion, a giant blue-colored ox called Babe the Blue Ox, who was said to be a gift from Paul’s fellow woodsmen, Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone. Hana and Khurram visited both Paul Bunyan and babe the blue ox as well as a 26 foot tall animated Paul Bunyan at an amusement park. As kids Hana and Khurram enjoyed visiting these fun amusement parks and getting their pictures taken with Paul and babe. Hana always enjoyed spending time enjoying fun things like Paul and babe. Hana enjoyed a sense of adventure and being together with family and friends. I miss spending time with you baby girl and our adventures/trips and just day to day life. I love you Hana. I wish you were still here with me.
