Gloria Jean Rhodes was born on October 8, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois to Florine Watkins and Leslie Morrow, Sr. As a child, Gloria’s sister gave her the affectionate nickname “Peachie” because simply put, she was “as sweet as a peach.” That gentle sweetness followed her through all her years of love and service to others.
Throughout her life, Gloria proved to be a loving daughter, sister, cousin, aunt and friend to so many.
Gloria was preceded in death by her father and mother; stepfather, Robert Tucker; her brothers: Leslie Morrow, Jr. and Kenneth Morrow; and her sisters: Helyn Morrow and Lois Morrow.
She is survived by her siblings: Carol Singleton, Edward Morrow and wife La Vern, Kathryn Butler, Robin Jackson and husband Gerald, Clyde Morrow and wife Rachon, Hilda Morrow and Doris Morrow. Gloria will also be greatly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
