MacDonald, Francis Andrew “Frank” Saddened, but grateful for a life fully lived, surrounded by his family at his home in Bedford we said goodbye to Francis Andrew (Frank) MacDonald January 9, 2021. Frank has been a compassionate, kind and loving Husband, Father, and Papa. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, all of which were “his favorite.” Frank left Cape Breton to pursue work in Halifax and his love of people guided him to many customer service based jobs. He was always known as a sharp dresser and excelled at dressing the men around Halifax while employed with Moore’s Clothing for Men for 20 years. Frank will always be remembered for his love of Cape Breton, his strong work ethic, music, reading, gardening, pool parties, and his biscuits with strawberry jam. Frank could be found anywhere his grandchildren were doing the things they loved. He enjoyed walking the Bedford Waterfront, going to WalMart and visiting his favourite gas station for morning chats and the newspaper. He spent his summers in Pictou with endless beach days, happy hours, campfires and sing alongs with his camper friends. Our family extends heartfelt thanks to all who showed their love and concern during Frank’s illness. A special thank you to Monica Flynn, Palliative Care Consult Nurse, Dr. Judy Mader and the NSHA and EHS medical staff who assisted with Frank’s journey. A private funeral will be held Wednesday January 20 2021, at St. Ignatius Church, Bedford, NS. The service will be live streamed on saintignatius.ca To leave online condolences please visit remembr.com/francis.andrew.macdonald What we were to each other is untouched. Let my name be in your household words as it always was, I have only slipped into the next room.

Dear Heather and all other family members, I wish to send my very deepest condolences on the passing of precious Frank. I have been a neighbour for several years and would have chats in the parking lot or near the elevator. Heather - you showed such tenderness, respect, courage, and commitment to make each day for Frank as pleasant as possible. It was wonderful having him around. Such a snappy dresser and a warm smile. Frank showed bravery to his family and friends. I know that he appreciated all that you have done. The lovely pictures here are a testimony of the bond that you share. Remember you gave Frank the best - your time and your love, for these are the greatest gifts to give another. Many memories tucked in your hearts forever. May God give you much needed comfort at this difficult time. It is such a termendous loss for your family so please take what time you need to heal. I send much love, many warm hugs and prayers. Please take care!
