It's a pity that we mortals don't have control over death. It is a necessary end that does not give respect to age or how nice nor how brilliant we are. God knows the beginning and end of His creations
I wish God could give us opportunity to extend our stay on earth we could have appealed to God to please consider Dr Ibrahim beyond the day he exited this sinful world. Nobody knows his or her date of exit nor the form it will take except our creator. I received the unexpected sad shocking news from a former PPFN colleague the day of the incident, I thought it was a call for usual normal greetings when I saw the missed call and had to call back only to be told of the untimely exit of Dr Ibrahim. Still in disbelief and denial I was told the burial took place same evening. I worked under Dr Ibrahim from 1997 to mid 2008 as a Program officer Service Delivery, Program Manager Service Delivery and Ag Executive Director National Programme Technical Support till I left PPFN. To me he was a soft spoken gentle man and unassuming leader who has respect for everyone around him and could operate at anyone's level whether junior or senior. He was committed to the vision and mission of the organization. We happened to share same day of birth 15th August which he celebrated with me in 2007.. He will be greatly missed by IPPF, PPFN family, his immediate family and extended family and friends. May his soul rest in perfect peace and may God grant his family the fortitude to bear this great loss and grant them the most needed peace at this time of their grieving.
