David was a wonderful friend. He never failed to brighten my door when he visited my former music store in Canmore. He was a consummate outdoorsman, smart, well prepared and extremely careful. This is a terrible tragedy and a great loss. He was passionate about everything; his family, his students, his instruments, his music, hell, life and he loved living in the "Ghost." He also loved acoustic guitars and could talk all day about the varieties of shapes, brands, wood and tones. His favourite instrument was his four string dulcimer. He called it the "twanger" and we were always messing around with it trying to get it to play without buzzing in such a dry climate. Rest in peace my friend, Godspeed.
