Crispin “Cris” Pisalbo Filarca passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 19, 1948, to Pedro (†) and Francisca (†) He was a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Education graduate of University of Northern Philippines. He started his career as an electrician for DPWH and would, later on, continue his career overseas.
After his stint in the Middle East, he was back home raising his family while his passion for community service is growing. He would find himself employed as barangay official for many years, 13 of which, as a Captain of Barangay San Jose, Vigan City. Cris worked hard and dedicated himself to improving the barangay. Few of his most distinguished accomplishments include the covering of basketball court, improved barangay hall, senior citizen building, improved street lighting, creation of more barangay roads, improvement of the daycare center and many more to mention. His hard work and good leadership would soon pay off as he raked multiple awards as an individual and for the barangay. He held himself with high professionalism and practiced good governance. With everything that he has accomplished and achieved, he left big shoes to fill.
Outside public life, Cris was a good family man. He loved his family the best way he knew. He truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. He was survived by his loving wife, Victoria; his children Bong, Eileen, Ching and Geng; grandchildren Kate, Hakyra, Dabby, Ynuss, Cyril, and Hannah; great-grandchildren Bamboo and Franco.
