This memorial page has been set up to honour the memory of Anne. Here we can share and collect memories of Anne and post our condolences in a place that is easily accessible to everyone.
Anne was a devoted mother and grandmother, a kind and endlessly courageous woman. She was a generous and loyal soul who always had a compassionate ear, especially for the disadvantaged. She had a gift for seeing humanity in everyone and was a fierce protector of the vulnerable. She was an adventurer and independent thinker whose curiosity to explore, know and understand still burned strong in her 7th decade. She was important to so many more people than she realised, and her loss has been felt by many.
The Mogensen family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who assisted with Anne’s missing persons case. We have been deeply touched by the care and support during this period when we have suffered the tragic loss of our mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. In particular we would like to thank the detectives and police men and women of the Lake Illawarra Police service who worked tirelessly and showed commendable discretion and respect during a difficult time. We are also grateful for all the gifts, flowers and sympathies received from friends and family, these have been very much appreciated and helped us to know we are not alone in facing the reality of this situation.
The family would be grateful if anybody has any photographs of Anne of which they could provide a copy. To contact us please email laura.mogensen.4@gmail.com .
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on 4th June at All Saints Catholic Church, Shellharbour City and a streamed service will be accessible online via the Parish Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/allsaintsshellharbourcity/. Anne found joy in vibrant colour and as such we would love to see invited family and friends dress in the full colours of the rainbow for her thanksgiving service.
