A long-serving employee of DHL Air (UK) Ltd, Andy brought a wealth of experience to the team, having begun his operational career in the Royal Air Force. Over many years he became a familiar and respected presence within our operation, known for his unique character, dedication to his role and genuine love of aviation. He was truly one of the DHL Air family and a real character within the OCC team.
Those who knew Andy will remember his immense passion for aviation and his encyclopaedic knowledge of both the industry and its rich history. Aviation was far more than a profession for Andy; it was a lifelong passion that shaped much of his life. Away from work he was a devoted collector of aviation memorabilia and an enthusiastic student of aviation history, building an extraordinary collection over many years. He had a remarkable ability to share stories, knowledge and insights, and his enthusiasm for the subject was evident to everyone who knew him.
Andy will be greatly missed by his friends and colleagues across DHL Air.
Our thoughts are with his family, friends and all those who knew him during this incredibly difficult time.
