Nick Spencer

October 15, 1958 - April 7, 2020

Our great friend and former colleague, Nick Spencer, has sadly passed away. Nick left BP at the end of March, and his death has come as a great shock to us all. We are truly sorry and cannot possibly comprehend the grief that Nick’s partner Eve, and his sons Richard and Robert, are feeling right now. We would like to share your memories, stories and anecdotes of Nick and his time at BP with his family. Nick was a much-loved colleague, and we appreciate your support to help his family through this extremely difficult time.

I knew Nick and Angela and her son, Warren, socially during their few years in Grimsby while Nick was with ConocoPhillips. They were a wonderful, generous outgoing but unassuming couple who threw themselves into the local community, in particular fundraising for the NSPCC, hosting some memorable events in their own home. Tragedy struck during those years when Warren (my son’s best friend) died in an accident and I don’t think they ever really recovered from that shock. I was so sad to hear of Nick’s death recently. We lost touch many years ago but I will always remember his kindness and gentle manner. My heart goes out to all who were close to him at this awful time.
