Nick Spencer

October 15, 1958 - April 7, 2020

Our great friend and former colleague, Nick Spencer, has sadly passed away. Nick left BP at the end of March, and his death has come as a great shock to us all. We are truly sorry and cannot possibly comprehend the grief that Nick’s partner Eve, and his sons Richard and Robert, are feeling right now. We would like to share your memories, stories and anecdotes of Nick and his time at BP with his family. Nick was a much-loved colleague, and we appreciate your support to help his family through this extremely difficult time.

I joined the RTE LT representing HR last year and Nick was very good at making me feel welcome during our QPR meetings. He was very responsive to requests and very generous with his time to a member of the RTE HR team. I could see he cared deeply about things being done properly while maintaining a much appreciated sense of humor. In my interactions with him he always listened carefully to all input before giving his view and making a decision. I admired this trait tremendously. I am grateful for the time and attention he spent with myself and members of the HR team - its helped us tremendously and he will be deeply missed.
