I am devastated by Nathan's passing. I served on his PhD committee, which he just successfully defended, and I was in the midst of processing reference letters for Nathan when he tragically passed. He was such a kind, humble, smart young man with an incredible future ahead of him. I am at a loss for words. Many of my colleagues are equally devastated, and we wish there was some way to bring some small amount of comfort to his family around this incredibly senseless, tragic loss. Know that I very much enjoyed working closely with Nathan, and I will always carry very fond memories of our time together. My sincere condolences.
