Angus, Elliott, when you come to read these you’ll no doubt have heard anything I have to say 1000 times as we’ll never stop talking about your daddy, Michael, I promise.
He was my big brother and my right arm growing up and a great friend when we were adults. We fought like cat and dog at times but laughed twice as much. Every weekend when mum and dad (nana and pampa) would go out he’d make me watch a scary film with him - I hated horror movies!!- but he’d always buy in the popcorn and some treats to bribe me with and I cherish those nights so much, just me and him, catching up. He was my go to for Harry Potter, movie info, humour, general knowledge, advice and warmth. Michael had the best laugh, and he could make me feel safe and at ease always, listening to me waffle on about whatever trivial issue I had.
I have so many stories, a favourite definitely being when the FBI came to it room in Florida following a small statement he’d made on bebo much to mum and dads shock. Another being when we were at our cousin Siobhan’s wedding and me and Michael somehow ended up at a chinese wedding in the same hotel and were there for quite a while before we even noticed it wasn’t our family.
I will miss and love Michael forever but I’ll talk to him every day. He loved you both so, so much and was incredibly proud to be your daddy.
