I met Kersten my first week in Orlando with CPD, he was such a big personality. That evening, he and I both attended a team event. He made it a point to be welcoming to me, a new team member, as well as share his opinion on American beer. We had "a couple" Guinesses that evening and I immediately felt more comfortable with my new team.
Several months later, I visited Germany and Kersten invited me to dinner at his home. I met his family, we ate, drank, and talked for hours. It is not only my favorite memory of Kersten, but my favorite memory of Germany. That evening and Kersten's laugh are the things I will never forget about him.
I will truly miss him.
