The first time I met Melanie, she struck me as one of the most welcoming, humble Headteachers I had ever come across. Gifted and competent, she appeared to run the school with ease and bring out the best in everyone, even through remarkably difficult times. When I visited her in hospital, she was no different: her sense of humour was infectious, yet she still faced her illness with courage and a refreshing reality. She was an amazing lady. My love and prayers go out to her family. May she rest in peace and rise in glory xx
