Matt Davies was and will remain the most compelling and iconic person in our community. Me and countless others spent our childhood watching his streams and videos, developing a love for aviation on the way. Walking around my flight school the day of his passing, I spoke to countless young people who watched his content growing up. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of people working in aviation today who can directly trace their passion back to Matt. His legacy and impact will last for decades and decades after he's gone. So thank you Matt. I met lifelong friends in his community, shared hours of laughs and good times, and got inspired to go into the aviation profession. He immesurably changed my life for the better. So many hundreds of people could say the same thing. A legendary man, a kind and loving person, and the best laugh I've probably ever heard. Thank you for everything Matt

Matt was a character like no other I have ever met. He always had the ability to get a laugh out of anyone and everyone. I will never forget the late nights on twitch, the weekends spent watching his videos nor will I ever forget the times we met. A true aviator, he was a real pioneer across Flight Simulation for generations, and no doubt inspired countless, myself included, to pursue their hobbies and for many more to pursue lives in aviation. His legacy will live on in those who he inspired more than anything, and I am forever grateful to have known someone as kind, helpful and as humoured as Matt.

If it wasn't for Matt, I wouldn't be where I am today. Matt was a generous, kind soul that only wanted the best for those around him, and for his friends and family to be successful in any endeavour they wanted to be a part of. Being a part of projectFLY and it's development was an incredibly experience to keep in my heart and Matt will always be held in the highest regard in my memories. Thank you Matt for all of the amazing memories I have of you as not just my "boss" in projectFLY, but as a friend when I needed you the most. There will truly never be another one of you out there

Started watching Matt's content many years ago on X-Plane 10 and he really got me into flight simming and started me off on this journey I am on now. Matt could be called a pioneer within the flight sim content community, through his production of videos, he inspired many thousands to take up the hobby and some to even fly aircraft in real life. His constant desire to do more for the community, through his projects lately ProjectFly, he always wanted the best for his fans to ensure simming was as welcoming as possible to new comers. This recent news of his loss is not only a sad day for his friends and family, but it really is a sad day for the whole flight sim community. Fly high Matt, your legacy will continue to work wonders.
