I met Marius in 1999 at TSA, he was my lecturer for HRD at Technikon South Africa. I was a poor teenager from Limpopo Province looking for a better life in Johannesburg. At the time Marius was recruiting a student admin assistant from his final year class of 1999. I applied for the job and was successful. I started working with Marius from 04 January 2000. Marius was like a big brother to me, he took me under his wing, he mentored me as if it was his personal mission in life. Marius groomed me to become one of the youngest Lectures at the time. He thought me skills that made me an independent person that I am today. I wouldn’t be who I am had it not been this angel from God. Marius sincerely believed in the development and uplifting the underprivileged. I am eternally grateful to have been a recipient of Dr Marius Meyer’s kindness and generous spirit. I too have lost a friend, brother and a mentor. I will forever be grateful for what you have done for me Dr Meyer. Rest in Power my friend.
