Growing up on Lark Avenue, Marc was my first friend. We waged many wars, climbed a forest of trees, and shared probably 20 or so birthday cakes between us. I celebrated Children's Day with him and enjoyed the pleasure of sharing shrimp chips and candies with edible wrappers (!) under his family's birch tree. (My brother Andy and his brother Eric will remember so much of this as well!) As we grew past high school and separated into our own lives, I always enjoyed getting updates from my parents (relayed by his parents, such special people) about his happy marriage, his beautiful kids, his successful career. I never doubted he'd have all of that, because he was such an intelligent, kind, lovely person. I will remember him with such great fondness, and know his family and friends treasure their memories of him, as I do.
