I am so deeply sorry for this sudden, tragic loss. Marc was a friend for 30 years and our paths crossed in Tokyo, Toronto and London. We were supposed to meet up in April and I'm so sorry it didn't work out. He was always so easy to be around, always so fun to be with. The messages I have received from friends all confirm what everyone else has written here - that he was a good man and a great friend. I'm so sad for you all and cannot imagine your grief.
