Malcolm Robertson

March 16, 1948 - January 23, 2021

We’re sorry we can’t be together at this time to celebrate Malcolm’s life. There's no 'cup of tea' after a funeral service, but if you would like to share with us a memory, funny story or even a picture, the family would really love to hear how you will remember him.

Food would arrive to Malcolm rubbing his tummy whilst slowly scanning over everyone else's plates, all whilst wearing a big grin. I absolutely loved it and it's something that I have inherited. Though humour is rife through the Robertson/Niven families, I always admired Malcolm's stoicism, kindness, warmth, empathy and compassion. The pearls of 'Malcy Wisdom' are still talked about to this day! Though we were separated by half a world, I am so incredibly lucky to have an abundance of stories, moments and experiences with him. Most were hilarious, but often they were uplifting, reassuring and happy times. I've thought often over the last week how best to pay tribute to Malcolm. To be more like him, seems to be most fitting. The world would be a much better place if we all were. I will forever be heartbroken we never got one more time together, but I will always cherish the moments we did have. An incredible uncle, an absolute gentleman and a stellar man. Infinite love to you, Malcolm.
