Lorna Chisholm

August 2, 1961 - September 22, 2021

Lorna suddenly passed away peacefully on Wednesday 22nd September aged just 60. We will all remember Lorna for her kindness, thoughtfulness and the passion she had for making people’s lives better which she shared with us all. Lorna had a love for cooking, travelling, socialising and wildlife. Lorna would often share photos taken by her husband David of local wildlife at her home (Friday Special). Lorna worked with Falkirk Council for over 39 years she was a respected, knowledgeable and highly valued member of the Revenue and Benefits Team and will be greatly missed. Lorna’s contribution to the lives of her colleagues, and the citizens we serve, will be an immeasurable loss.

Can’t believe your gone Lorna, from the first day I met you in Calendar Square 18 years ago you were so approachable and put me at ease straight away with your larger than life personality. In the last e-mail you sent to me you said “ Who knows when we will be able to sit in the same office again – at a distance – have a cup of tea and put the world to rights!” Gonna miss our wee chats after work in the office putting the world to rights, the laughs we used to have! Thank you for the hilarity, your cooking tips, wine recommendations, continued support, encouragement, kindness, and friendship over the years. May you rest in peace Lorna, my thoughts are with David and your family and I hope they find some comfort in the knowledge that you were a well-respected, highly valued member of the Revenues and Benefit family and will be sorely missed.
