Lesley Lewis

May 17, 1968 - January 6, 2021

Lesley came to work for us over three years ago, but had volunteered with us in the early years before and after transfer. Without her - and her residents' group - the new Leavesden Green Community Hub would not be what it is today. She will have been known by so many people in the company and it was in her nature to make sure she did the best for everyone. She was forthright, fun-loving, hard working, wise, and caring, to mention but a few of her attributes. During her time working on the Meriden, Lesley improved the estate in so many ways. From communicating with the bin crews to arrange better collections to helping with safeguarding matters of vulnerable residents, Lesley spoke to residents as she went about her daily tasks so that people felt they were able to ask questions and discuss matters with her - which so often alleviated people’s concerns. Lesley was a great believer in people working together in our communities. She demonstrated this when joining in to help out with the single parent fun days and encouraged some shy residents to take part. It made the world of difference for them to be included. Please use our condolence book to share your memories which will be shared with her boys Jordan and Ashley.

so sad to hear this news. i didnt know Lesley long but the short time i did she made a lasting impression. she had a lovely spirit, was easy going, always freindly and had a smile. she was great to work with, send her an email and her reply was always "i got this". the tenants on the Meriden loved her, always asking about her, thats when you know she was good at her job and a great ambassador for WCH. She has left a great legacy for her sons and i hope they get comfort from the amazing woman their mum was and how she will want them to be happy as she will always be with them x
