Mr. Lee Hruska was truly an amazing teacher and our two sons, Kieran and Callum, were fortunate to have him as a teacher for both grade 7 and 8. As fellow teachers it was very evident to us that Lee loved his job, was passionate about teaching, and genuinely cared for his students. Not only was he amazing in the classroom but also on the court, the track and the cross country trails. He dedicated so much time and energy to ensure that the students lives were enriched not only with academics but sports and an amazing trip to Montreal. Through the years of Lee being our son's teacher we came to think of Lee as a friend. Whenever, we ran into him in the community, whether he was out biking with his family or at the park with his two boys, he always had time to chat and catch up. We want to offer our deepest sympathy to his family and want them to know how much Lee has touched the lives of those around him. He made a huge impact on not just his students but all of the Thornton community. He was a remarkable person and he will be greatly missed. Duncan and Heidi McIntyre
