Such sad news! Laleh was such a great friend and a great colleague. She will be so missed. I got to know Laleh during UNDP's recruitment process for the National Coordinator of GEF-SGP in Iran, as I was UNDP's member of the recruitment team. Further to Sally Timpson's comment, we were so fortunate Laleh got to become the National Coordinator. I witnessed this firsthand as a member of GEF-SGP's National Steering Committee in the meetings and during the projects' site visits in various parts of Iran. Her enthusiasm was contagious and her leadership was inspiring. Laleh will always remain in our memories and hearts.
