Banking, Insurance and General Workers Union wishes to sadly advise of the passing of His Honour, Mr. Kyril Jack served this Union for 32 years during which time he also served as an Executive Officer and Second Vice President. He was an excellent Labour Relations Officer as well. While still serving at BIGWU then Cde Jack received notification of his appointment as a member of the Industrial Court and left the Union in 2011 to assume that assignment. He was certainly one of the most beloved Comrades at BIGWU and his expertise and knowledge in Industrial Relations and Labour Law was well sought after in many quarters. Mr. Jack also served as President of the Bank and General Workers Credit Union Cooperative Society Limited. He served as Director on the International Communications Network and as a Member on the Appeals Tribunal of the National Insurance Board. He was also a Bank & General Workers Union representative on the National Trade Union Centre. Mr. Jack obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree at Cipriani College of Labour and Cooperative Studies and subsequently did some part time lecturing at the said College. BIGWU celebrates the fond memories of His Honour Kyril Jack. His commitment always rose above the immediacy of satisfying only self. The Central Executive Committee, General Council, Membership and staff of Banking, Insurance and General Workers Union express sincere condolences to the family of His Honour Kyril Jack and pray that his loving memories and the Grace of God will be with them at this time.
