Kishore Shah

October 5, 1947 - February 25, 2023

Kishore was born in Nairobi, Kenya, in 1947. He moved to London and received a degree in Pharmacy, and in August 1974 he met the love of his life, Jyoti Shah. Kishore was a man of many passions including, community service, travelling, enjoying delicious food, music, playing table tennis, and later on in life, his grandchildren. He was a genuine pillar of our community, having served as Chairman of Oshwal North Area UK and then as a trustee of Veerayatan UK. The values of faith and spirituality, family, friendship, and a hard work ethic were instilled in him, and he was honoured to have decades of friendship and thousands of hours committed to charitable causes and projects. We will truly miss him as a father, brother, grandson, uncle, friend, and mentor. He has set off on a new another adventure with his beloved, Jyoti.

His life & work, passion towards his profession and his community and loving behaviour towards all he met shall keep him alive. He was a above all a great human being. Jyoti Behn his wife and his best friend also left for heavenly abode last year. He lived a good life left behind three daughters, son in law and loving grand children. He was associated with Veerayatan India and its UK arm. Kishore Bhai- Jyoti Behn both were great hosts for people visiting UK from India. His sudden demise is a great loss to not just his family but to Jain community of London. In my last London visit in Feb. 2022 we spent few good days together. He joined Pragya in Lugano to attend World stamp exhibition. Both were there for nearly a week. In the coming month of May we had planned to meet and spend time in Essen, Germany for few a days. We first met Kishore bhai – Jyoti Behn at the Silver jubilee celebration of Veerayatan in Rajgir in 1994, since then we have remained in constant touch. A versatile personality, always very calm/ composed, full of spirit, interest in Art, Culture, Food, Music, Travel and Sprituality. SCVP London, he and Jyoti Behn were fully committed to attend & organised weekly classes and bringing Oswal Jain family in UK together. Several time I attended SCVP classes with him while I was in London. We spent together memorable time and remained in constant touch all these 29 long years. His jolly spirit and smile shall always remain fresh in our memories. We pray God for his soul to rest in eternal peace and give courage to the family and near & dear ones to bear this irreparable loss. || Om Shanti - Om Shanti || Pradip Jain RDP, FRPSL | Pragya Jain FRPSL Email : philapradip@gmail.com | philapragya@gmail.com
