Kevan Mulcahey

March 22, 1959 - January 6, 2021

Kevan has been part of the fabric of Kantar for almost 40 years having spent time at AGB, the precursor to Worldpanel before having stints at a brewery and other research agencies before returning to Kantar in 1990. For many years Kevan had run the Alcohol then Lifestyle teams in Worldpanel. Kevan still has many friends in the business with whom he kept regular contact. An incredibly affable, generous, kind and thoughtful man he will always ask after others before himself. A lover of pedigree cats, single malt whiskey, esoteric rum brands, music on vinyl, motor racing, historic cars, Iceland [!] and Everton football club he leaves behind devastated friends and family, wonderful memories and an enduring business legacy.

I'm so sorry to hear about Kevan's passing. I've known him for many years, first when I was working at Carlsberg and a client of his, and then when I jumped to the Kantar side of the fence. He was a thoroughly decent man, both as partner to us as clients, and as a colleague agency side, great to work with although no pushover for a client! I remember going for a lunch with him somewhere at St Pancras, mid-negotiation, and having a good social chat followed by a lengthy debate about how much was reasonable to pay for promo flag data. Once I'd moved to Kantar he always had a smile for me, despite me having been not the easiest of clients I'm sure, and we often shared laments about the M1 commute; he from Milton Keynes and me from Rugby. Not long after I started, he wisely advised me that earlier was better. (No matter how early i got up, he was still always in before me.) We shared a love of St Mawes, an enthusiasm for cats, and a bit of obscure coincidental history with Sandown Road in Rugby. My heartfelt condolences go to his family and friends.
