She was the glue to our department, her knowledge and experience was highly respected. I don’t remember a single time when she didn’t make you laugh in a meeting with her humour or contagious laugh. She liked structure and did everything with a high standard (grammar police comes to mind). One of my early memories of Kate is when she laughed and praised me for delegating, she told me I would go far, which gave me some needed confidence in my new role. She was firm but very fair. She will be missed but not forgotten, her legacy of commitment to protect consumers will be here, and continues in the work we do in aid of her innovations.
