Mrs.Kamalini Thakurdas, was my mami. She was a strong and intelligent lady and also disciplined and strict in the upbringing of her daughters. i have so many sweet memories of mamu and mami from my childhood days when we used to visit them in Allahabad.she used to make very delicious korma and biryani and a lot of delicacies..and she was still making it in Bangalore till now.. Miku, Sumi and Shalu and also Ajit mamu were very privileged to enjoy her home made food..she used to like it and despite her illhealth she used to cook for the love of her family.Lini Mami also used to call up her close family members and inquire about the well being of the members..it sounds so untrue, she called up on a group call about a week back and talked to everyone and she sounded very hale and hearty..and as usual asked about all the family members wellbeing.it is a great loss for the daughters and her grandchildren, the family members and friends and whosoever knew her..a learned lady ,a poet,a writer,a author,a cook ,a doting mother,a loving grandmother has left us to be with her other half...I wish that she is at peace with Ajit mamu and she keeps on looking at her family members from heaven.
