We were so saddened to hear of the passing of Julie.
One of our fondest memories of Julie was when we stayed with them for a few days before we headed overseas on our big trip. We were planning on being overseas for a couple of years and I remember how excited Julie was for us - embarking on such a big adventure together. Gina was pretty nervous about being away from her family for so long, but Julie spent most of those few days reassuring her and comforting her. She was generous with her time and focused on all the fun and exciting things that lay ahead. I remember Gina saying to me that she probably couldn't have gotten on the plane if it wasn't for Julie's reassuring words so early on.
Although we didn't see Julie often, whenever we did, she was always so happy - she always had a smile on her face. She had a beautiful smile.
We'll always remember what a strong, courageous, vibrant and generous woman Julie was.
