My thoughts and prayers are with all who loved Jose.
I did not have the chance to know him well, but he was a familiar face and I will miss seeing him in ICF.
I remember he always came early to the church on Sunday mornings. I remember his friendship with Joshua which was lovely to see. I remember that he often wore snazzy matching sports top and bottoms!
I have happy memories of a birthday party we did as a homegroup for Jose and Joshua and another brother. I experienced my first real Sinterklaas celebration at Jose's home in Coolhaven, when we exchanged gifts and had fun together.
These last days I prayed a lot for him when he was in hospital. God has answered our prayers for healing and for peace in His own sovereign way.
I have had the phrase 'And the end of that man is peace' from Psalm 37:37 in my mind whenever I have thought of Jose in these past days. I rejoice for Jose but pray for comfort for those left behind.
