John Gardiner, ANSTO's Property Manager based at Lucas Heights, sadly passed away on Friday 24 April, 2020. This news will come as a shock to many who worked with John and it’s a significant loss to the ANSTO community. During his time at ANSTO, John made a significant contribution working on major projects including the Innovation Precinct, as well as NMI and CSIRO matters. John contributed greatly to the development of all ANSTO’s campuses. As property manager, John was the face of ANSTO among the tenants, building strong relationships with all. Many of them have been impacted by the COVID-19 crisis and John had been working with them to provide support in recent weeks. Due to COVID-19 there are modifications to funeral gatherings so please share your memories and pass on your condolences to John's family. John was liked by many across ANSTO. He was the absolute professional and highly regarded for his composed nature and thoughtfulness. He was a valued ANSTO senior manager and will be greatly missed.

My deepest sympathies to John's family and friends. I knew of John during childhood (John played soccer with my brother Michael) and 40+ years later we became colleagues. John was always helpful and nothing was a problem. A true professional and mentor for his tireless work ethics. We will all miss him.
