I don't know where to start.. when I read the internal email about Jason, I had to re-read it a few times as it just couldn't be true. Sadly if was, and I am so sorry for Jason's family and hope these stories help a little.
I have lots of stories, but firstly having the same name as Jason we usually got each others calls, especially Jason when my kids asked Alexa to call Jason (I am their dad, honestly) .. I had to keep apologising to Mr O for that,..:)
Once we had a team of three Jasons and well, yes conference calls got very confusing.
I always recall one trip we had down in Reading at Cisco, and apart from eating steak and half a lettuce every night the local restaurant, he gave me a lift in his mid life crisis boy racer Renault (I think it was a Renault).. anyway, I could tell it was his pride and joy. I forever apologised when my rucksack buckle dented his chrome door cill.. I was gutted and it was the nearest I had ever seen J from losing his cool.. I still feel guilty..
My other fondest memory was when I played Golf at Forest Pines with him, and at the end he said J I have something for you and took me to his car (changed now as I presume the previous dint on his boy racer was too much for him).. he opened his boot and gave me his kids old golf clubs for my kids! I was so surprised, happy and grateful for his kindness but that was totally typical of Jason's nature. The kids still use these clubs today.
Recently I also had an in-depth conversation with him about his home security camera's as we shared each others home live views, he was such a nerd but we loved him for that!
He always talked about his family he loved so much, and he obviously knew what was important in life (hint - it is not work),
We will always miss you Mr O..
