I met Janos only the day before he died, at the climate demonstration in The Hague. He was very enthusiastic and impressed by the whole event. He found it hopeful that so many people were there. He collected signatures for the Scientist Rebellion petition, and even tried to get a signature from one of the police officers. It was an intense day, which made our contact very personal. I'm glad to have got to know him, and it saddens me that it has to remain just that one day - I would have loved to meet him again at another demonstration...
