Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II

April 21, 1926 - September 8, 2022

Queen Elizabeth II, the UK's longest-serving monarch, has died at Balmoral aged 96, after reigning for 70 years. Her reign spanned 15 prime ministers starting with Winston Churchill and Ms Liz Truss, who was appointed by the Queen this past Tuesday. In the words of her eldest son, King Charles III, "We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished sovereign and a much-loved mother... I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the realms and the Commonwealth, and by countless people around the world." Please share your own memories here. We would like to collect and organise them and present them to the British Embassy on behalf of the British Club.

Your Majesty, We thank you profoundly for your exemplary service to our country over the past 70 years. It has been over 40 years since we met during your visit to Bahrain, you have remained my Queen since I was old enough to respect you. Thank you Your Majesty, rest in eternal peace with your rock, HRH The Prince Philip. With much respect and sincere condolences. Your servant, Anthony Walker RAF Retired
