Hayley made my PGCE year a calm yet exciting experience as she trusted me with challenging tasks that built my confidence for the start of my teaching career. She allowed me to feel like I was a permanent part of the department when in college and outside of it at the Christmas Do or a rushed Nando's after some exhibition planning. It may have only been a year of working with someone but her vibrant and positive outlook is often something I still think about when I am teaching: "stay calm! what would Hayley do?". She has been such a positive influence and I am so grateful to have had such an inspiring mentor.
