Harriet will always be remembered with a smile, she was kind, friendly, funny and all round lovely person. As with others she went out of her way to help me settle in when I joined the Home Office. My thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time.

It was with great sadness that we heard of Harriet Rathbone's tragic death in her home earlier this week, suddenly and unexpectedly. Harriet was an integral part of the Economic Crime Directorate, and was someone who brought people together with her kindness, humour and effervescent personality. Colleagues from across HSG, other parts of the Home Office, the NCA and NECC and UK Finance will all miss her immeasurably.
