Harriet Rathbone

March 8, 1968 - August 23, 2021

It was with great sadness that we heard of Harriet Rathbone's tragic death in her home earlier this week, suddenly and unexpectedly. Harriet was an integral part of the Economic Crime Directorate, and was someone who brought people together with her kindness, humour and effervescent personality. Colleagues from across HSG, other parts of the Home Office, the NCA and NECC and UK Finance will all miss her immeasurably.

As for many people people in the programme, Harriet was the first person I spoke with on joining the team as she tirelessly negotiated the complicated onboarding process in order to make sure my induction was as smooth as possible and my welcome was warm. We had many conversations about many things as there was never a shortage of chat to be had and through each of those moments it was clear how caring and conscientious you were, always ready to step in and help others and I feel privileged to have worked with you. My thoughts are with your family and friends, rest easy.
