Harriet Rathbone

March 8, 1968 - August 23, 2021

It was with great sadness that we heard of Harriet Rathbone's tragic death in her home earlier this week, suddenly and unexpectedly. Harriet was an integral part of the Economic Crime Directorate, and was someone who brought people together with her kindness, humour and effervescent personality. Colleagues from across HSG, other parts of the Home Office, the NCA and NECC and UK Finance will all miss her immeasurably.

Harriet it's testament to you as a person that all of these messages have the same core theme: that you are one of the most selfless and caring people that many of us have ever had the pleasure to know. Your ability to just instantly calm people and brighten up their day is unparalleled and I'll miss terribly the small chats we have had in team meetings and beyond - which have become an essential part of so many people's days especially during the various lockdowns. You have taught us all so much about how to treat people and deal with life's obstacles, and our lives are all better for it. All my thoughts and love to your friends and family at this difficult time.
