Absolutely Incredible Kid Day®, celebrated on March 17 this year, encourages adults to write a young person a note — letting them know just why they’re so amazing! Our thoughtful words can spark a life-changing journey for a child. I think both my kids are absolutely incredible and I have pride in who they are. I’m writing a note to Hana in heaven to let her know how much I love her. I love hearing stories from others about Hana’s thoughtfulness, kindness, and generous heart. Hana was an exceptional student, worker, business woman, school counselor in addition to being a great advocate for social justice and equity. She fought for what was right despite the consequences. Hana was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, friend, and stranger who became your friend. Hana wanted everyone to feel loved, accepted, and included.
She was someone who was hundreds of years before her time. The world took too much from her and she gave up hope yet she had given so many people hope and encouragement. I love you Hana. I miss you and wish you were here with me. You are my absolutely incredible daughter.
