Momento Mori…. It’s tragic early departures like this that remind us all of how fickle and short life really is…. Gilles, you definitely were your own man, unique in so many ways, I have nothing but the fondest memories and wish you well on the other side. Moreover, wishing Carlo much strength as he finds a way to grief the irreplaceable loss that you are to him.
Godspeed Gilles, all is always in perfect order, just not always the order we would like it to be.

Dear Gilles, I cannot believe that with 25 years of friendship and so many happy hours together I have zero to show in photos. I will miss laughing with you and hearing all of your stories. I will miss catching up with you on the telephone old school style. I will even miss your incredibly brutal honesty! Most of all I will miss the way we could talk as if no time had passed no matter this distance and days between us. You are one of the kindest and most loyal around. It has been an honor and a privilege to be your friend. Until we meet again- With love, Ashley
