Gerry Wilson

January 17, 1938 - August 5, 2020

Gerry was an incredibly popular figure across the lacrosse community and a great friend to so many at Buckhurst Hill Lacrosse Club and beyond. The epitome of a true gentleman, Gerry will be missed by many. We hope that by pulling together messages of remembrance and celebration, it will go some way to help comfort Jean, Jem and Nigel during these difficult times. These messages will be compiled together and a book of remembrance produced for both the family and for Buckhurst Hill Lacrosse Club, to cherish.

I first met Gerry when I joined Bucks after university. The first day he came down to watch a game it was immediately obvious just how much he meant to the club and those around me. Everyone was keen to say hello and thank him for coming down. It became very clear to me that this was a man who had the club close to his heart. When he attended games Gerry always gave positive support - didn’t matter if we were winning or losing. My condolences to the whole family. We will miss you, Gerry.
