My sincere condolences to Gerard's family and friends. Gerard was a kind, caring and gentle soul throughout the many years we were colleagues, knowledgeable in his area of expertise, and always willing to assist. In this last year, he was instrumental in resolving several key issues for the School of Education Library, for which I am quite grateful. He will certainly be missed in both personal and professional arenas.
