George was a deeply loved and respected member of our team, whose sudden passing has left an immense void at RED Systems. Known for his genuine warmth and natural friendliness, George brought an infectious energy and quiet dedication to everything he did. Not just a colleague but a true friend to many, he was always ready with a helping hand, generously sharing his knowledge, and above all, brightening our days with his brilliant sense of humour and smile. His impact on our team and company will be lasting, and the memories we share of his kindness, wit, and friendship will stay with us always. We are all better people for having known and worked alongside George.

I have only know George since starting at RED Systems in February this year. Even in that short time i got to appreciate what a fantastic guy he was, from the kindness and friendliness everyone has spoken about, to the depth of his enthusiasm about life's various subjects, knowledge and as we all know film. In the short time of knowing him I began to look forward to discussing with George some anecdote or aspect of a film that might interest him. I'm still doing this in my own mind which adds to the sense I have of missing him, Goodbye George, I do very much miss you.

I was truly fortunate to know such an incredible person. No words can fully capture who he was or the immense loss I feel in his absence. George, you were an amazing friend with an extraordinary gift for making me smile -especially now, as I reflect on your life and the void left in mine. I’m privileged to hold so many unforgettable memories and to have been there for some of your most legendary antics. I’ll never forget your very first day when you ended up going home in your socks after tossing your shoes in the bin. Or that first Christmas night out when you and John nearly got kicked out of Comedy Central for chatting too much! Your infamous potato diet still baffles me, and I can’t help but laugh when I think of the time you crashed the van into Float’s gate, claiming you were distracted by the Sheardinator. And there was the time when you came up with that hilarious nickname for one of our suppliers - only for it to accidentally be sent to them in an email. Or the time you split your pants while bending over and joked about how the delivery driver would be traumatised for life! George, your kindness, generosity and humour were evident to everyone who knew you. You were truly one of a kind, and I will always be grateful for the laughter and memories you gave me. You will never be forgotten, and you will always be deeply missed.

I had the pleasure of working with George for a few months at Anaco before he moved onto RED and from day 1 he made me feel so comfortable and relaxed, one of the first thing he asked me was if in played GTA before inviting me to play online with him and a few other friends from Anaco, we had such a laugh online driving what we dubbed 'the Anaco van round everywhere and crashing it into just about everything ! We can all agree that George was brilliant at his job but he was also brilliant at just about everything he put his hand too ! We would often meet up to have some food and Pool and he would often win 9 games to my 1 ! One time he came out with some friends of mine and we played a few games of killer with a £2 buy in, I swear he left in with far more money than he went out with after winning every game ! I hate that it had been so long since our last meeting and that we will never have the chance to hear Georges amazing laugh or his advice on life. We have all been robbed of such an amazing man. rest in peace mate, cant wait to see you again on the other side

George was a fantastic member of the RED family for the past 9 years. I refer to RED as a family because thats what the people who work here like George made it feel. Funny and gentle George was great to be around and he was always at the centre of the many laughs and legendary stories within the company. Professionally he developed from joining us and excelled at what he did, I was particularly proud that he took the decision to take up further education and complete his Procurement CIPS qualification to further his career. The messages of support and fond memories of George from our wider supply chain demonstrates that what we felt for him was also felt by others, George was a good person, great to deal with and excellent at his job. George you made my job very easy as you excelled at your job and helped to build the great culture that we have here. You will be missed but never forgotten, see you on the other side..

George was highly respected inside and outside of Red Systems. Whenever we ran into an issue with our costings my colleagues would say “don’t worry, we’ll get George to work it out”, he was the ace up our sleeve. A genuine, funny and intelligent gentleman who found time for me whenever I needed help. I will always be glad that I had the opportunity to work alongside George.

I don't really know where to start and it doesn't seem real to writing on a memorial page, I'd much rather be calling him and chasing for orders & having him take the piss out of me but life can be so cruel, I've always been a great believer in, that only the very best die young and this is very much the case. George was one of life's genuine guys and always happy to help. I've known George for more than 13 years working on many contracts with himself, Jayne & the wider team at Red Systems, He was a credited to you & I know we will all miss working with him. Looking at all the comments it seems like George was a great Colleague but most of all a great friend to you all, everybody at Float Glass sends their love & support xx RIP George, keep smiling.

As much as I have the great sadness of not only losing a fantastic colleague but also a treasured friend, I also reflect on how lucky I am to have worked with George both here at Red and also at Anaco. From his first day at Anaco, I knew we had found one of a kind and instantly struck up a rapport with him as did everyone else lucky enough to work with him. Unfortunately his first day at Red didn't go quite so well as he managed to traipse dog sh!t all through the office!! He always knew exactly what was required to get the job done with a minimum of fuss whilst keeping the workplace an enjoyable and friendly environment for everyone. In addition to this, he enjoyed crap jokes just as much as I do (f*ck 'em, they're only bees!!) and it is probably this that I will miss the most about him. Although I have had some less than ideal times, the last week has been probably one of the toughest periods for me and I'm still struggling to come to terms with the news. After speaking to others both here at Red and in our wider supply chain, I know that this sentiment is widespread. George, you were a true gent and I'll miss you.

George was the most genuine, witty, sarcastic and caring person I have had the pleasure of getting to know and I have a deep sadness in my heart for all the things I took for granted. Coming in to work and having him recommend his latest find on xbox game pass and telling me I must play as knows I will love it, Stardew valley kept us both going for many hours during lockdown. Playing multiplayer on sniper elite despite having totally different play styles, me as the sniper on a hill and him running in kamikaze and having to run down from my hill and rescue him repeatedly. We both shared a love of animals and he was the person who I shared my silly pet pics with, I brought my 2 kittens into the office just so he could have a cuddle.As for my dog Rolo George adored him and Rolo felt the same, George was overjoyed when I started to bring him to work every day and would always give him cuddles and treats at one point he was even looking at dog safe hair gel so he could style Rolo's fringe! All the obscenties we used to greet each other, I dont think we ever actually just said hello, I even had his password changed to fathead123 when he forgot it while he was on holiday. My favourite George story is that he drove all the way to work during covid but ended up having forgotten his office keys. Because I live around the corner he asked if he could borrow mine which of course I said yes, but was going to be out when he was returning them so asked him to leave them with my daughter. He arrived at my house and got so caught up chatting with my daughter about xbox and gaming as well as playing with the dog that he ended up just totally forgetting to leave the keys and had to post them back to me. Thinking of George will always make me smile and I am so lucky to have had the honour of knowing him, gonna really miss you dude.

Though I've only known George for the last 18 months at RED, his warmth and welcoming nature made me feel like I'd known him for much longer. From my very first day, he made me feel part of the team, something I'll never forget. The incredible aroma of his lunchtime steak sizzling on the griddle, animated conversations about classic 80's and 90's films and his infectious laugh made him such a wonderful part of daily life here. George naturally brought people together and whether you'd known him for years or days, he had this effortless way of making everyone feel included through his kindness, wit, and friendship. The office feels quieter now and will never be quite the same. You were one of life's truly genuine people George, and we're all better for having known you. You'll be deeply missed, but the warmth and friendship you showed to everyone around you will never be forgotten. Your gift for making people feel welcome and valued is something we can all learn from. Rest easy you wonderful soul. xxx

Its been a good few years since I had the pleasure of working with George, but even after we both left ANACO we kept in touch. Was a lovely surprise when I got to speak to you when I joined Aluserv. What can I say about George he was fiercely loyal if you where a friend he had your back! we always had a good chat funnily enough it usually revolved around food or xbox. He was always there to listen to me and to tell me how to fix things, will miss our amazing chats. Going to miss you George.

George was one of the most kindest, genuine guys I have ever met. I am so glad to have known him and been part of his life. He was always caring and a great listener, even when I would be talking total rubbish which is quite often. My fondest memories of George was our likeness of very spicy food and curry, he would often share his recipes he had cooked and he would be so excited about them. We also shared a love of horror films and vampires, he would always type Fangs instead of thanks in his emails and even nicknamed me Dahmer or Mad Woman ! George had a laugh that will stick in my head forever, I keep thinking of the time he opened the door when my glass for my garden table got delivered and I had once again measured it wrong and it was far too small. I knew this without even seeing it by the sound of his laugh, it amused him that much. I was asking him earlier in the day if he thinks it will fit in my car and he was looking at me like I was a man woman. It feels really strange to even be writing my memories of you George, I still can’t believe that you are no longer with us. I will never forget you and hope to see you again one day. RIP George.

So hard to write this, and I hope to do justice to one of the most sincerely kind humans I had the pleasure of calling a true friend. George was someone who meant a great deal to me after 9 years of working together, and I will miss him so much, especially our chats on anything fantasy or sci-fi related, my fellow Red Systems geek. He was always so excited for our annual Quiz, and I loved including some questions tailored to our fabulous geeky uniqueness! There was never a time when I felt his question of “you alright mate?” was not from a place of genuine care and compassion, he always had the time of day to give to anyone, work related or not, you knew you could count on his full attention and honesty in his approach to dealing with whatever the conversation was about. More often than not the topic found its way to food, one of my fellow foodie’s. The joy we all took from talking about the places we had been to eat, and what we had eaten was spoken about in great detail, and his lunch each day was the source of many an envious stare in the kitchen! I will never forget the booming laugh that George had, it genuinely made you smile and was more often than not at the expense of one of Jaynes special mispronounced words. Always from a place of kindness though, as with everything he approached. This is the one thing I will miss the most, amongst many other characteristics of a genuinely beautiful soul. Red won’t be the same without you George, so happy to have had the privilege of knowing you. Rest in Peace my friend.

They say you don’t get to choose your colleagues; but I got lucky and ended up working alongside one of the best! Whenever a challenge came up, George was my go-to. I knew I could always count on his vast amount of knowledge to have the answer, or at least point me in the right direction and in some instances, selflessly take on the task himself! No matter how busy he was, he always made time for me and the team. His support was real, never forced, and he genuinely wanted to see others succeed both professionally and personally. We constantly chatted about how much he wanted a dog and how he felt like he already knew my two with the amount of times their heads had popped up whilst on a teams chat to him. What I appreciated most was his friendly nature paired with his straightforward honesty. George never sugar-coated things. If something wasn’t working, he’d tell you straight up, but you knew it came from a good place. It's rare to find someone who brings together expertise, honesty, and a genuine willingness to help. I’m grateful every day to have had the chance to work with such an incredible person and he'll be missed terribly by everyone! Ps His legendary ‘toilet etiquette’ email will ALWAYS live rent free in my head and it still gives me random fits of laughter! Rest easy big man!

So many heartfelt memories of Georgie that will last me lifetime. Worked together for over 14 years, Anaco then I followed him to Red, he was more than a colleague to me. He was a true friend, at times like a brother to me. Kind and genuine, fiercely protective over the people he cared about and always said it how it was. Wound me up mercilessly in a good humoured way, always made me laugh, will miss his eye rolling when someone annoyed him especially me. I will always hear him in my ear when I stress out “it’s only windows Jaynie… ”Shared a love and passion for food always incorporating food into everything we did . I will always remember our little supplier trips and he always went out of his way for me. One trip in Scarborough he took me to the beach on the way home so I could have my proper fish and chips and a paddle in the Sea. Feeling so sad and I miss you so much. Goodnight my friend see you in another lifetime.

George started only a few weeks before I did, so over the past 9 years he has been a constant part of my everyday life. Sometimes that was to discuss the choice of suppliers on a new project, and sometimes it was to discuss his choice of dubious music. Most weeks would consist of him pressuring me to go the gym at lunch. I gave in only once and he pushed me so hard that I was nearly sick everywhere and I vowed never to go with him again. I will miss his emails and messages in full caps lock telling me exactly what he needed. He was no nonsense and you knew where he stood. Although I never knew how he could write his emails so well as he banged his keys so hard that all the letters had worn off, and he could barely see his screen as it had a massive crack right across it – he refused to get it mended or have a new laptop because it worked ‘perfectly well’ – and as for using a second monitor, well that was never going to happen. And in regards to barely seeing and massive cracks… I remember the time when George went to our MD’s house to unload a vehicle, bent over to lift and split his trousers from front to back – that’s when we all found out that George had an aversion to underwear! The MD’s wife saw a full moon in the middle of the day… I have to say, that personally, I found George to be a very modest person and never wanted to seek the limelight – no doubt he would cringe over getting such attention as he’s received since we heard the devastating news. But he was excellent at his job, and deserves all the recognition he’s getting, as he was simply one of the best colleagues I could have wished to work alongside. I will miss him incredibly.
